Artist Series Vase #18 | The Terence Hammonds Rookwood Collection
Time fades and hopefully heals. Four protestors are printed in good contrast on one side, with the buildings of Kenyon-Barr beginning to fade in the background. The reverse has an additional glaze treatment that faded the buildings even more, and the protestors seem to take on a negative photographic image, seeming to turn into a ghostly memory. An eerie quality is in the imagery. Hope that the past is not forgotten, and that history will not have to repeat itself. This vase starts with a white gloss neck, descending to green and blue printed imagery, and finishes with a gloss blue base. A small clay bubble is seen under the bottom curve. 2024 Stamp. Signed by the Artist.
